Scanning, not typing
Point the camera at a barcode and it fills in the name, the storage advice and the pack details. No barcode? Photograph the label and it reads the printed date. A whole shop takes about a minute.
Dates you can check
Every date says where it came from — read off a label, or estimated from a shelf-life table. You always know which you're looking at, and you can change any of them in two taps.
Reminders when you can act on them
Choose how many days' notice you want and what time of day it arrives. A nudge at nine in the morning about tonight's dinner is no use if you're at work.
Nothing leaves your phone
No account, no sign-up, no server holding your shopping. Your items and photos stay on the device. Looking up a barcode sends the number and nothing else, to a free public database.
One payment
Free for a fortnight with no limits. After that, keep tracking ten items free or unlock unlimited for a single payment. Not a subscription, and nothing to cancel.
SnapLarder is a reminder tool, not a food safety product. It estimates dates from shelf-life tables and from what's printed on the packet. It cannot tell you whether food is safe to eat — use your own judgement, and when in doubt, throw it out.
